Join Our Team
Iris is structured into three separate teams, and we accept new members to the evaluation and design teams within the first two or three weeks of each semester.
Editorial Team
The editorial team collaborates to lead the other teams, push the magazine through the production cycle, and copyedit prose and poetry submissions. Individuals with strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and editorial skills will make a great fit for this team.
Individuals can apply to join the editorial team after serving on the evaluation team (to become an editor) or the design team (to become Lead Designer).

Evaluation Team
Alongside the editorial team, the evaluation team reviews and evaluates all the submissions we receive. This team is divided into three groups: prose, poetry, and visual art. Individuals who enjoy discussing and analyzing creative work will be a great fit for this team. Evaluators also have the option to aid the editorial team in copyediting prose and poetry pieces selected for publication.

Design Team
Guided by our Lead Designer, the design team creates the layout and aesthetic of each magazine issue using Adobe InDesign. Individuals with a strong creative eye and experience with InDesign will make a great fit for this team.
